A LITTLE MORE ON THE PERSONAL SIDE OF LIFE IN UXBRIDGE

My wife and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and time has flown by. Our eldest is being married soon and the other three are busy, active, and loved. Sharon is a busy and capable woman who with some friends launched a neat resource support organization called Precious Minds which serves families up here in the north part of the Region of Durham in Ontario.  Our family enjoys attending St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Leaskdale where my most enjoyable activity is singing with the Worship Team, sometimes even with my eldest son when he leads which is a neat experience. Helping with youth work and being a member of the Finance Team is still something I enjoy from time to time as well.

Gord Simmonds – The Early Years

So to start, let me take you back to the early years and we’ll build from there.

My family moved to the “country” from the city (North York) when I was 11 where we made a country cottage our permanent home. Obviously that parental decision changed the course of my life at that age.
